The Directorate of National Consumers Rights Protect (DNCRP) in Karimganj and Katiadi town of Kishoreganj sealed off three clinics and diagnostic centers and fined Tk 75,000 for various irregularities on Thursday .
Kishoreganj DNCRP Assistant Director ( AD) Rahdoy Ronjon Bonik who led the drive, told this to The New Nation.
The DNCRP in Kishoreganj first conducted a drive at Karimganj’s Khan Diagnostic Center of the town and sealed it off as there were no proper documents, and fined Tk. 25,000.
In Katiadi, two diagnostic centres named Renesha Diagnostic & Clinic were fined Tk. 30,000 and Model Health Centre fined Tk. 30,000 on same grounds.
Sanitary Inspectors of Civil Surgeon office, Police, among others, were present during the drives.
When contacted, DNCRP AD Rehdoy Ronjon Bonik told the New Nation that, the drives will continue till the Consumers rights and public interest are protected.
