Two six-day training programmes on “Climate resilient fish production and protect the Covid-19” and “Climate resilient fish culture” which began in South Sunamganj Upazila and Jagannathpur Upazia of Sunamganj district respectively on June 20 will end today (Friday).
The Department of Fisheries of Bangladesh and the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of the United Nations have jointly organised the training programmes.  
Md. Zillur Rahman, Deputy Director, Department of Fisheries, Sylhet Division, Sylhet; Dr. Md. Abul Hasanat, National Project Coordinator, Community Based Climate Resilient Fisheries and Aquaculture Development in Bangladesh Project; Kingkar Chandra Saha, National Capacity Building and Training Expert, Community Based Climate Resilient Fisheries and Aquaculture Development in Bangladesh Project; Md. Ahsan Hasib Khan, Senior Assistant Director, Office of the Deputy Director, Department of Fisheries, Sylhet Division, Sylhet; Sunil Mondal, DFO, Sunamgonj and Md. Jahidul Islam, Upazila Fisheries Officer, South Sunamgonj and Sunil Mondal, DFO, Sunamganj and Akhtaruzzaman, Upazila Fisheries Officer, Jagannathpur attend both the training programmes as resource persons.
In total of 300 fish farmers, 150 from each upazila, participated in the training programmes in six batches.
