Garments Sramik Oikya Forum president Moshrefa Mishu on Friday said they will go for tougher programmes if the back of 1,600 Tuba Group workers is not cleared within the next four days.
She announced the ultimatum while addressing a sit-in programme organised by Tuba Group Sramik Sangram Committee in front of the Jatiya Press Club.
Mishu also demanded cancellation of the bail granted to Tuba Group managing director Delwar Hossain, and the reopening of the factories of the group.
She announced that the workers will demonstrate in front of the Labour Ministry on September 7 to press home their demands.
Former president of Communist Party of Bangladesh Manjurul Ahsan Khan, Biplabi Workers Party president Saiful Haque and Socialist Party of Bangladesh leader Razekuzzaman Ratan were, among others, present.
