Recipes: Classic American Pancakes

Ingredients :
1 cup all-purpose flour
2.5 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 tablespoon white sugar
3/4 cups milk
1 small egg
2 tablespoons butter, melted
Toppings:
Melted butter
Maple syrup or honey
Mixed berries (or any other mixed fruit of your choice)
Powdered sugar
Method:
In a large bowl, sift together all the dry ingredients. Make a well in the centre and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter. Mix until smooth crazy mixture.
Heat a lightly oiled frying pan over medium high heat. Pour the batter onto the pan, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and stack 2-3 pieces on a plate.
Sprinkle with some dusted sugar and top with some whole mixed berries. Serve melted butter and maple syrup on the side.
