A Class-VIII student was killed at Satnal village under Monirampur police station in Jashore early Wednesday.
The dead was identified as Billal Hossain, student of Class -VIII of Gopalpur Secondary School and son of Sidduqur Rahman of Khedaipur village under Monirampur Police Station, said Shahidul Islam, Officer in-Charge, Monirampur Police Station.

Accused Jarif Rahman abducted Billal, student of
Class-III of a local primary school on January 6 from his native village Khedaipur under Monirampur Police Station.
The body of the deceased was recovered at around 4:35am and the abductor was declared dead by the doctor at Jashore General Hospital at 4:25 am, said a press release of the police.
For the child, the abductor demanded Tk seven lakh from his parents as ransom, but killed him at one stage, the police added.
The police recovered a one -shooter gun and one round of bullet from the spot after the `gunfight’, police claimed.
