Yasin Arafat Khan, 11 years old, student of class six in a school in Cox’s Bazar, memorized Holy Quran within 86 days.
Yasin Arafat is a student of Tanzimul Ummah Hifz Madrasah, Cox’s Bazar Unit.
“According to the attendance register book of the Madarasah, Yasin Arafat has memorized the total Holy Quran within two months and 26 days. There is no such talent in this area I know so far,” said Hafiz Riyad Haidar, the Principal of the Madrasah.
The principal said, “It is not so easy to attain a certificate fo ‘Hafiz’. Arafat has a great talent, he will be a great world standard Islamic scholar, Insha Allah.”
Experts labeled it as an wonderful talent in the world.
“I have served different programmes of Holy Quran for around 37 years across the world. But I have not heard any more such a talent in any corner in the world. Yasin Arafat is really a rare talent. I wish his more and more success,” said, world famous Hafiz and Quari Ahmad Bin Yousuf Al Azhari, the Vice-President of international Quran reading organisation-IQRA.
Delwar Hossain, the Hifz teacher of the Madrasah said, “We have many students but there was no other like Yasin Arafat.
He memorized seven pages of the holy Quran in everyday. In the same time he also has given test of previous study of the holy book.”
“Besides this, he used to prepare his class six lessons everyday,” the teacher said.
The teacher also praises Arafat’s good manners and nice behaviors.
Yasin Arafat also attained primary scholarship in class five last year.
He also very good in sports and cultural events. He won many prizes in annual sports and cultural competitions in his school.
The rare talent Arafat’s home is Satghoria para village in Hoainkang union under Teknaf Upazila in the district.
He is son of Journalist Golam Azam Khan, Cox’s Bazar district correspondent of the Bangla daily Naya Diganta. Yasin Arafats mother Salma Khatun is a home maker.
