Police rounded u p 22 alleged accused in a land disputes occurred at Pathantooly area under double mooring thana on Friday .
With the sequel of a land disputes in between Koushik Kabir and the family membersof late Safiul Alam, the clash erupted at early morning of Friday. Double Mooring thana police sources said a land disputes was continuing between the Kabir and the family members of Safiul Alam since long .
Local sources said a bloody clash erupted between these two rival groups on Friday morning when a group of muscle men belonging to Kabir stormed at the dwelling house of Safiul Alam and vandalise the dweeling house of Saiful Alam. In the clash four members of late Safiul alam and his wife Bilquis Begum also wounded. In this connection a case was filed before the concerned thana accusing 36 persons . In the meantime 22 alleged accused have been arrested by police .
In this connection, a press meet was arranged by the members of the Jasimuddin (father of Saifiul Alam) at Chittagong Press Club yesterday afternoon . Grand daughter of Jasimuddin, Parvin Akhter read out a written statement before the press meet. The press meet was told that hired mastans of Kabir’s family looted valuables worth about Tk.20 lakh from their house including 35 tolas of gold, cash Tk.70 thousand, four colour TVs, 3 laptops , mobile phones etc. during their attack in the house. The press meet urged upon the concerned bodies including Home Minister and Prime Minister to intervene the matter for save their life from the hands of land sharks.
