Chief Justice (CJ) Hasan Foez siddique has urged the people to plant at least one tree each to maintain the balance of the environment.
The Chief Justice made the appeal at an inaugural function of a tree plantation program organized on the Supreme Court premises on Thursday on the occasion of the 102nd birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day.
Judges of both the divisions of the Supreme Court were also present
at the tree plantation program and each of them planted one tree, said a press statement issued by Supreme Court spokesperson Md Saifur Rahman.
Earlier on the day, Chief Justice Hasan Foez Siddique paid rich tributes to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the occasion of his 102nd birth anniversary by placing wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu at his Dhanmondi residence yesterday morning.
