UNB, Dhaka :A total of 31 out of 49 benches of the High Court division have been reconstituted with the changes of Judges and their jurisdictions. The reconstituted benches will start their function on Sunday next.New Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha made the changes, according to an SC notification. Taking over as the country’s 21st Chief Justice, Sinha earlier reconstituted the two benches of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court.Meanwhile, SC registrar SM Kuddus Zaman told reporters that the new Chief Justice has increased the court and office hours for both the divisions of the Supreme Court, aiming to reduce the logjam of cases and provide quick services to justice-seekers.
