Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain on Saturday suggested institution of an exclusive university for law saying it was now a demand of time to develop law and justice sector.
“I would like to urge educationists and jurists like Barrister Rafique-Ul Haque to establish a separate university for law . . . this will further enrich the standard of legal education and research in our country,” he told a function to mark handing over of Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah Gold Medal-2017 for scholars on the Ahsanullah Science and Technology University campus at Tejgaon area.
Hossain said those who would take the task of founding a university for legal affairs studies would be remembered by the future generation jurists and legal practitioners for their contribution.
