Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha has taken many initiatives to dispose of cases, which remained pending for long.
“Chief Justice has issued many directives for reducing backlog of cases,
disposing the cases quickly and ensuring use of technology in judiciary. Officers from all the levels of the judiciary have been asked to be present at their offices on weekly holidays in this regard. They also have been asked not to leave their workplaces without informing the registrar of the Supreme Court,” Syed Aminul Islam, Registrar General of the Apex Court, told BSS.
He also said the Chief Justice during attending the national council of judicial officers and visiting the different courts of the country, has urged the judges to dispose of the cases quickly.
