Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain on Tuesday formed a new High Court (HC) Bench to hold virtual hearing and disposing of criminal cases during the ongoing closure due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Justice JBM Hassan will conduct the trial proceedings in the new HC Bench, said a notification issued by the Registrar General of the Supreme Court Md Ali Akbar.
Earlier on May 10, the Chief Justice formed three High Court Benches and one Appellate Division Bench to hold virtual hearing of the urgent cases during the ongoing closure. And the trial proceedings have already been started in the virtual courts of the lower and higher judiciary.
