UNB, Bagerhat :Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha on Thursday underscored the need for quick disposal of pending cases to improve the law and order situation.He came up with the remarks while addressing a reception accorded to him by Bagerhat Bar Association.The Chief Justice also called for disposing of forest-related cases quickly so that criminals dare not to repeat the crime in future.He also urged lawyers to play a special role to save the Sundarbans saying illegal poachers are destroying the world’s largest mangrove forest.Bagerhat Bar Association president Advocate MA Abdul Hai and Advocate Mir Shawkat Ali Badsha, MP, were, among others, present.
