CJ encourages a cleaner Dhaka

UNB, Dhaka :
Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha said on Tuesday he would not mind walking to work daily to help keep the city free from pollution.
Speaking at a cleanliness campaign organised by the Dhaka South City Corporation and the Supreme Court on the premises of the highest court, the Chief Justice requested Mayor Sayeed Khokon to work for a cleaner Dhaka city.
Citing Delhi’s chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s odd-even car rationing experiment and his decision to go to work on foot, Justice Sinha said he would love to do the same to curb pollution.
Mayor Khokon said that 2016 would be the year to clean Dhaka as the 400-year-old city is increasingly becoming unlivable for pollution.
