Information Minister and Joint General Secretary Dr. Hasan Mahmud said late Maj.Gen Miah Md. Jainul Abedin was a most credible personality to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and if any one desire to meet the PM, the role of Jainul Abedin was remarkable and praiseworthy.
The Info minister disclosed it while addressing the civic condolence meeting on Defense Secretary Miah Mohammad Jainul Abedin to Prime Minister at Chunati Meherunessa High School ground under Lohagara upazila this afternoon as chief guest.
Dr. Hasan Mahmud said a number of development projects including Bay Terminal, Karnaphuli Tunnel are undergoing in Chattogram due to bold role of the demised Defence Secretary.
He further mentioned that despite shortage of time, Prime Minister laid foundation stone of the Bay Terminal through video conference before the last parliamentary election due to persuasions of Major Gen. Jainul Abedin.
Info Minister also told that Jainul Abedin was a very credible person to Prime Miniser and in every terms of Sheikh Hasina as PM, Jainul Abedin was assigned as Defense secretary to PM. Dr. Hasan Mahmud recollected the life of the ex-defense secretary saying he was a very simple and clearcut spoken personality and his behavior is exceptional than the other armed forces officers.
He never speaks loudly. Among others, General Secretary of AL Obaidul Quader, Moslemuddin Ahmed MP, Abu Reza Nezamuddin Nadvi, city Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin, secretary of South District AL Mofizur Rahman spoke on the occasion.
