M M Jasim :Masum Mridha, a Higher Secondary Certificate holder only, so long ran a hospital in the city’s Agangaon area as its head physian.He had been treating the patients in the hospital for long. He claimed himself as surgery and medicine expert. It is alleged that he has damaged the life of a number of patients though mistreatment. The two other doctors, a nurse and two technicians of the hospital have also no certificates to treat the patients. The real fact came to the light after a RAB-2 Mobile Court on Friday raided and sealed off the hospital named — Shahjalal General Hospital — for providing mistreatment to patients by the fake doctors. The court arrested the three doctors, the lone nurse and the two technicians. The court jailed the doctors two years imprisonment while six months for the others. Executive Magistrate of RAB-2 Anwar Pasha conducted the court in presence of the law enforcing agencies. Anwar Pasha said Masum Mridha passed HSC only. But he cheated with the patients as an expert physian. During preliminary interrogation, Mridha confessed that he just passed the HSC examination, he added.”On information, we raided the hospital and found all the people fake. The license of the hospital was also invalid due to its cancellation on June 2013. That is why the mobile court ordered to seal off the hospital and sent all of them to jail,” Anwar Pasha said. He said that some unscrupulous doctors referred patients to this hospital and take commission. The fake men are: Sujon Das, Sumon Pal and Masum Mridha, Nurse Mitu Joy Dhar and technicians Subrata Bala and Pankaj Chnadhra Das. Sujon Das passed HSC in humanities and Sumon Pal passed Secondary School Certificate (SSC) in Science. But was working as doctors. Even they run operations of the patients. Technicians Subrata Bala and Pankaj Chnadhra Das have no registration for preparing the reports of diseases. Nurse Mitu Joy Dhar passed HSC in humanities only. Anwar Pasha said that all the machine of the hospital is not operational. They just cheated the people.
