Citycell Taroka Kothon is one of the popular TV shows on Channel i now. This programme was first aired in the channel on May 21 in 2004. This viewers’ choice show is going to step into 11 years today.To mark the day, a press conference is scheduled to be held at Channel i office in the city’s Tejgaon area at 12:30pm, which will be telecast live as a part of today’s episode of Citycell Taroka Kothon. It will be 2906-episode of the programme. While talking about the programme its producer Ananya Ruma told this correspondent, “After facing many barriers and with the cooperation from the artistes, related persons of this programme Citycell Taroka Kothon is going to complete a decade. It will step into 11th year today. It is very delightful matter for us. Besides discussing about what things could be included or changed in the programme 11 noted personalities of the cultural arena will be present on today’s episode of the programme. Singer Asif Akbar will be present as invited guest who was also present at the first episode of this show in 2004.”It may be mentioned that Citycell Taroka Kothon is being given honoured to the artistes of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendro on either 16 or 26 of every month. While talking about the programme Managing Director of Channel i Faridur Reza Sagor said, “Citycell Taroka Kothon has already come into this position by virtue of its quality presentation. I am really grateful to alls of this programme including the sponsors who are cordially coming forward to support this show to air regularly.”From the beginning of this programme Sohel Hakim has been working as assistant producer of the show, while Moushumi Barua has been engaged hosting the programme. Later Dilruba Sathi and Afrin attached with the show as hosts. Not only in the studio, Citycell Taroka Kothon team went elsewhere where it needed to communicate with the viewers. Though duration of the programme is 30 minutes, but in case of any renowned person its time is extended. The programme is not being aired only Friday. Meanwhile, Now winner of the quiz contest can get the opportunity to meet his/her favourite celebrity for last 10 minutes of the show.
