A fire broke out at a restaurant in the city’s Bashundhara Gate area on Sunday morning.
However, no casualties were reported in the fire, Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) official sources said.
Atiqul Islam, Duty Officer of the Control Room at the FSCD Headquarters, said, “The fire originated from electric malfunction at about 11.20am at ‘Raj Bilas London Park’ restaurant under Bhatara Police Station.”
On information, two firefighting units rushed to the spot and doused the flame at about 11.32am, the fire service official said.
The estimated loss in the fire could not be known instantly.
