Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has requested people not to visit the graveyards in the city to offer Ziarat or Fateha there to prevent the transmission of coronavirus.
The DNCC authorities suspended different activities including offering Ziarat, doa and munazat at the graveyards to maintain social distancing and protect people from coronavirus infection, said DNCC Public Relations Officer (PRO) ASM Mamun.
However, the burial activities will continue as usual, he said.
The coronavirus, which spread almost all over the world, has so far claimed the lives of 17 people in Bangladesh.
