Despite the tenure of 3 months of the convening committee , the present convening committee of city Jubo League passed off 2 years 7 months violating the Party constitution.
Centering the issue, frustrations among the grass root leaders and workers are prevailing .
To bring the liveliness among the grass root workers and reorganizing the party, a full fledged committee is expected very shortly, a reliable sources said. Centering the new committee , zeal and enthusiasm are being witnessed among the leaders, workers, sources said. In connection of inclusion in new committee, local aspirants are strongly lobbying the central leaders in the meantime. But to satisfy the local Awami league leaders and aiming to attract the attention of central AL leaders ,local aspirants are adopting self techniques on respective sides . In connection of coming new committee, former Jubo league President Chandan Dar while asked told this correspondent that those are assigning the posts of Convenor and Joint convenors in city convening committee , they are persuing the senior party leaders aimed at sustaining in the full fledged city committee .
In reply to a question, Chandan Dhar told that Helal Akbar Chowdhury Babar is a leader and Deputy Finance Affair secretary of Central Jubo league and he also strongly lobbying for the post of President or General Secretary of Chittagong city unit committee.
Besides, Asstt. Secretary of central Jubo League Md. Selim told that a series of talks held with the Jubo League Chairman Alhaj Md. Omar Faruk Chowdhury at his village home about the formation of Chittagong City Unit of Jubo League .
He further said following the coordination of the AL leaders including the President of Mohanagar AL Alhaj ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury , city Jubo League committee will be constituted.
Deputy Agri Affairs Secretary of central Jubo League Mir Mohammad Mohiuddin expressed his views that in active consideration of the devotion, oppression, jail harassment etc, former General Secretary of MES College Chatra league unit Helal Akbar Chowdhury Babar is holding position of top line leader in the race for President post. Specifically, the role of Helal Akbar Babar to turn terrorism free Chittagong College and Mohsin College from the control of Chatra Shibir recently is praiseworthy and he played pioneering role .
Mir Mohiuddin is firm determined that if Helal Akbar Chowdhury is elected as President of City Jubo league, the jubo league unit be more disciplined and strengthened, he added.
While asked about reactions of Helal Akbar chowdhury told this correspondent that he will welcome the leaders of new committee as per consensus decision of local and central leaders . But if the party helps me with scope of coming in leadership then I will work unitedly to make more discipline and strengthen the party.
Mentionable that 101-members convening committee of city unit was constituted on July 9, 2013 with Mohiuddin Bachchu as Convenor and Delwar Hossain Khoka, Farid Mahmud, Didarul Alam, Mahbubul Hoque Sumon as Joint Convenors.
