Chittagong City Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin hoped that the city dwellers will get supply water from new CWASA projects by next October . CWASA is implementing 3 water supply projects in Chittagong to meet total demands of the people.
He disclosed it while addressing the views exchanging meeting between City Corporation and Ctg WASA at CCC conference hall on Sunday with City Mayor in the chair. Managing Director of CWASA Engr. AKM Fazlullah, Secretary Md. Shamsudoha, Chief Engineer Md.Jahurul Hoque, CEO of City Corporation Md. Abul Hossain, Chief Engineer of CCC Lt.Col .Mohiuddin Ahmed, and senior officials of CCC and WASA were present on the occasion.
In the meeting , CWASA Managing Director handed over a cheque for Tk.2 crores as compensation of road cutting for installing water pipe line to City Mayor.
The meet discussed the matters of installations of pipe line, road cutting, water bill, licence for tube wells, controversial water bills etc .
WASA chief in his deliberations hoped that 3 mega water project undergoing and the work of one project is expected to be completed by next October.
After completion of the remaining projects, the city dwellers will get their desired water within the metropolitan areas.
