More than one lakh city dwellers will be benefitted following the basic infrastructure developments under project titled ‘Remote Community Livelihood Quality Development’ funded by GOB, City Corporastion, UNDP, UK Aid . City Mayor AJM Nasiruddin disclosed it while inaugurating the project activities at Sulakbahar Tulatali Fine Arts School premises yesterday.
Under this project , 6 kilometer connecting road, 31 tube wells in 31 wards, 570 twin latrine , 14 community latrine , 19 bath rooms will be constructed aimed at improvement of lifestyle quality of the remote community people.
Besides , 10 thousand pregnant women will be provided with quality food items in next one year under this project activities. Moreover, one lakh 5thousand dwellers will get multiple health facilities during the period. In inaugural ceremony of the project, City Mayor said CCC has provided donations to 9300 families for education, trading and skill development purpose in 19 city wards.
He further disclosed that about Tk.4 crores will be distributed among the 5 thousand people in current fiscal. A mong others, Panel Mayor Nisar Ahmed Manju, Ward Councilor Morshedul Alam, Awami League leader Md. lIqbal chowdhury, women councilor Jesmin Parvin Jesi and project officials were present on the occasion.
