City Club reached the final of the Dhaka First Division Women’s Cricket League beating Indira Road Krira Chakra by seven wickets in the semi-final at the Gulshan Youth Club Ground on Sunday.
Chasing Indira Road’s 151 off 39 overs, City Club romped home in 32.2 overs making 153 for the loss of three wickets.
Sabekun Nahar of City Club remained unbeaten with 55 and her teammate Fatema-Tuz-Zohra made 34 and their teammate Tanjila Akter scored 26 runs.
Alpona Khtun of Indira Road bagged a pair of wickets at the cost of 29 runs, while Morjina Akter got one wicket conceding 22 runs.
Earlier, Ashrafi Yeasmin of Indira Road top-scored with 17 runs.
Taslima Akter of City Club bagged a couple of wickets instead of 29 runs, while Sraboni Sarker, Sadia Akter took one wicket each for 13 and 19 runs respectively.
Sabekun Nahar of City Club was adjudged the Player of the Match.
