City Club beat Begum Anowara Sporting Club (SC) by eight wickets in the lone match of the Dhaka First Division Women’s Cricket League at the Kalabagan Krira Chakra Ground on Friday.
Chasing Begum Anowara Sporting Club’s paltry total of 106 off 33.1 overs, City Club romped home in 21.1 overs making 107 for the loss of two wickets.
Tanjila Akter of City Club top-scored with 55 and her teammate Sabekunnahar remained unbeaten with 15.
Reya Akter and Munni Akter took one wicket each for the losers.
Earlier, Reya Akter made 24 and her teammate Meghla Khanom scored 20.
Sadia Akter of City Club bagged a pair of wickets at the cost of 11 runs, while Sabekunnahar and Sanjida Khatun took one wicket each for two and eight runs respectively.
Tanjila Akter of City Club was adjudged the Player of the Match.
