City Bank has recently signed a strategic partnership with Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) for green plantation at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Shilpanagar at Mirsarai in Feni and Sonadia Eco-Tourism at Cox’s Bazar.
This will be the largest economic zone in Bangladesh, spanning 30,000 acres of land with world-class business and industrial facilities.
Under the CSR programme, the bank will provide financial support to plant trees at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Shilpanagar and Sonadia Eco-tourism Park for the next two years.
Principal Coordinator (SDG) to Prime Minister Abul Kalam Azad said the contribution from financial institution in green initiatives at economic zones will support Government to attain sustainable economic growth. He also mentioned that the business hubs will empower backward and underdeveloped regions encouraging rapid infrastructural development.
