City Bank recently presents its half-yearly financial performance for 2017 through an ‘Earning Disclosure’ event held at bank’s head office.
The bank declared its consolidated Earnings per Share (EPS) for the January-June 2017 period at Tk 2.18 against that of Tk 2.30 for the same period in 2016, said a press release. Consolidated profit after taxes was recorded at Tk 1,907 million for the first half of 2017 whereas it was Tk 2,014 million for the same period last year.
Bank’s loans and advance and deposit have grown by 15.2 percent and 19.1 percent respectively.
In addition, trade volume has also increased by 20 percent. At the event, Sohail RK Hussain, Managing Director and CEO of City Bank spoke of the bank’s long-term vision and current strategic outlook.
Md. Mahbubur Rahman, Chief Financial Officer of City Bank also gave an overview of the recent financial performance of the bank.
