Mashrur Arefin, Chief Executive Officer of The City Bank Limited and also noted novelist, has won the Gemcon Sahitya Puroshkar 2020 for his novel “August Abchhaya.”
Kazi Anis Ahmed, director of Gemcon Group, virtually announced the names of the winners on Saturday afternoon, said a press release.
Besides, Hasnain Hira was named for Gemcon Young Poetry Award this year for “Baak Bachaner Baitha” while Jabbar Al Nayeem and Dhrupodi Ripon were named for Gemcon Young Literature Award for “Jiboner Chuti Nei” and “Shomporko Apon-por” respectively.
