City Bank has recently been named the ‘Best Bank in Bangladesh’ by Global Finance, a North America based leading global financial publications. This is for the third time in a row the Bank secured this prestigious award, said a press release.
The award was recently presented at the ’19th Annual Best Bank Awards’ Ceremony in Washington DC, USA to Rubel Aziz, Director and Chairman of the executive committee of City Bank by Joseph Giarraputo, founder and publisher, Global Finance. The event was attended by more than 200 top officials from renowned global financial institutions.
In presenting the ‘Best Bank in Bangladesh’ award to City Bank, Global Finance in its statement said, “City Bank of Bangladesh likes to see itself as ‘the bank for all purposes’ and is dominating the country’s banking industry. It has worked extensively with multilateral development banks such as the International Finance Corporation and the Dutch Development Bank – FMO to help develop the country’s banking industry and capital markets.”
This year, Global Finance identified the best banks in more than 150 countries and the final selections were made by the editors after extensive consultations with corporate financial executives, consultants, bankers and analysts worldwide.
