The electioneering for the polls in the two city corporations in Dhaka picked up further pace as mayoral
candidates and their representatives intensified their electioneering amid some untoward incidents.
The candidates along with their supporters moved from one area to another as part of their hectic efforts to reach out to the voters and woo them.
Besides, canvassing through loudspeakers seeking
votes for the polls contestants also made the city air heavy from 2pm to 9pm.
Meanwhile, BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s motorcade came under attack yet again allegedly by ruling party men in the city’s Bangla Motor area on Wednesday evening, leaving at least10 people, including her adviser Abdul Quayum and two personal security staff injured.
