Citi Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Citigroup, on Saturday honoured eight most innovative micro entrepreneurs in Bangladesh in five categories with the 11th Citi Microentrepreneurship Awards (CMA) recognising their achievements.
The 11th CMA award winners are Israt Jahan from Gangni, Meherpur, Hasina Islam from Khilgaon, Dhaka, Ophina Begum from Madarganj, Thakurgaon, Rina Begum from Goal Chamot, Faridpur; Shohel Miaji from Puran Bazar, Chandpur and M Selim Reja from Alaipur, Natore.
Integrated Development Foundation (IDF) received the ‘Best Microfinance Institution of the Year’ award and received Tk 300,000, while Community Development Centre (CODEC) received the ‘Most Innovative Microfinance Institution of the Year’ and got Tk 400,000.
