Search panel head Dr Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad said that a circular will be published on Sunday over appointment against two vacant deputy governor posts of Bangladesh Bank.
He came up with the assertion at a meeting on Thursday afternoon. He said that the circular will be published on Sunday. The candidates can apply for the post from the day of publishing the circular until April 13.
Earlier, the government formed a five-member search committee with chairman of Bangladesh Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation Dr Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad in the head to recommend two deputy governors for Bangladesh Bank after the posts at the bank fell vacant following the removal of two former deputy governors.
After the resignation of Dr Atiur Rahman as the BB governor over the heist of $101 million from the central bank’s account with US Federal Reserve Bank, the government also removed its two deputy governors- Abul Quasem and Nazneen Sultana.
