A meeting of views exchange in between the Chief Information Officer of the Govt of Bangladesh AKM Shamim Chowdhury and the journalists of Chittagong held at Chittagong Press Club auditorium yesterday afternoon.
CIO in his brief deliverations urged the journalists to present the objective news rather any controversial news which may harm the image and reputation of the govt.
He said journalists are the correct media of country to depict true picture of a country.
He also urges journalists to present the ongoing development activities of the present govt to the people.
Deputy Commissioner of Chitagong Mesbahuddin also addressed the journalists .
Former and the incumbent President of Chittagong Press club and general secretary, President and General Secretary Chittagong Union of Journalists were present among others.
Journos from different electronic and print medias also participated the meeting.
The journalist leaders of Chittagong Press Club called upon the declaration of 9th wage board for journalists and the implementation of 8th wage board in all dailies of the port city.
Senior Information Officer Md. Azizul Hoque Newton was also present on the occasion.
