Senior cine journalist, organiser and presenter Shafiuzzaman Khan Lodi died of Covid-19 on Sunday while undergoing treatment at Japan East West Medical College Hospital in Dhaka. He was 65.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son.
Lodi tested positive for Covid-19 last week and was admitted to Kurmitola General Hospital. Later, the journalist was shifted to Japan East West Medical College Hospital.
Shafiuzzaman Lodi anchored various programmes aired on radio and television that included Aamar Chhobi which had been aired on Channel-i from 2000 for 18 years. He was buried in Uttara following his namaz-e-janaza after Asr prayers.
