Chittagong Customs House and Customs Intelligence officials have seized a consignment of cigarettes brought under bond facilities in the name of one garment industry declaring as raw materials . Rezaul Karim, Assistant Commissioner of Audit Investigation and Research (AIR) branch of Chittagong Custom House, confirmed it to media on Thursday last that the consignment had been seized.He said 18 metric tonnes of goods from China arrived at Chittagong port in the name of Hop-Yick Limited, a RMG factory at Savar, Dhaka. The importer nominated Chandu Corporation, a C&F agent of , South Agrabad, Chattogram , for the purpose of clearing the goods. The company submitted the Bill of Entry (No. C-200482) at the Custom House on November 3.
