UNB, Chuadanga :
A schoolboy died after falling off a merry-go-round at the Police Park in the district town on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Ridu, 14, a student of Chuadanga Government GJ High School and son of Imtiaz Hossain Ujjal of Panir Tankpara in the town.
Witnesses said Ridu along with his friends went to the park in the afternoon and rode the roundabout.
However, he skidded off the ride, leaving him injured critically.
The schoolboy was taken to Sadar Hospital where doctors declared him dead, said officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station Tozammel Hossain.
Kaniz Fatema, a physician of the hospital, said the boy died due to excessive bleeding from his head.
