It left two people, including an officer-in-charge of a police station, injured. An eight-member representative team led by Commission co-chair Sultana Kamal went on a visit to Rangamati on Friday night. Apparently irked by the visit, members of six Bangalee organisations allegedly put up barricades on the city’s main road using burning tyres and logs on Saturday morning. They allegedly attacked the Commission’s convoy near the Omdamia Hill locality in the afternoon when it was going to Chittagong under police protection. Kotwali police OC Sohel Imtiaz and CHT Commission member Elora Dewan were both hit on the head, Additional Police Superintendent Habibur Rahman said. Both have been given first aid.
