A Christian grocer was hacked to death by unidentified assailants at Banpara Christian Palli in Baraigram upazila on Sunday noon. The deceased was identified as Sunil Gomej. A gang of miscreants came in front of the grocery shop of Sunil in the area and in a sudden swoop they started hacking him while he was staying there at about 12:00 noon, said Officer-in-charge of Baraigram Police Station Maniruzzaman. Sunil Gomej died on the spot. Informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Natore sadar hospital morgue for an autopsy. — Natore, June 5 (UNB)
