Chittagong and Sylhet District teams moved to semifinals of the Walton Under-18 National Football Championship eliminating their respective rivals at Bangabandhu National Stadium on Friday.
Sylhet will take on BKSP in the first semifinal on Sunday at 2 pm while Chittagong will face Dhaka in another one at 5 pm on the same day and same venue.
In the day’s match, came from behind, Chittagong beat Barisal by 2-1 goals.
Badsha put Barisal ahead in the 33rd minute while Atiqur Rahman Ziku equalized the margin for Chittagong in the 53rd minute.
Jamiruddin scored the match winners for in the 69th minute.
The day’s other match between Sylhet and Satkhira ended in one-all draw at the same venue.
Habibur Rahman put Satkhira ahead in the 29th minute while Abu Bakkar restored the parity for Sylhet in the 86th minute from a penalty.
