Two miscreants allegedly hacked a housewife to death early yesterday at Gondamara union of Bashkhali upazila over previous enmity.
The deceased was identified as Minu Rani Dey, 36, wife of Joutishmoy Dev, a resident of Boroghona Debpara area of the upazila.
Locals said two miscreants stormed into Joutishmoy’s house and beat him seriously while also stabbed Minu Rani indiscriminately with sharp weapons, leaving her dead on the spot.
Alamgir Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Bashkhali Police Station, said they arrested one, Kamal Hossain and trying to spot the other miscreant in this regard.
