Chittagong Abahani Limited continued their winning spree to move the top of the points table in the JB Bangladesh Premier League Football with a convincing 3-1 goal victory over Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra held on Saturday at Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city.
In the day’s match, Chittagong Abahani took early lead in the very 2nd minute of the match as midfielder Zahid Hossain fed by Kowshik Barua saw his shot from the top of the box deflect off a Muktijoddha defender and land to a near post (1-0).
After the lemon break Muktijoddha however restored the parity in the 51st minute.
Defender Saidul Haque right footer bounced back from the cross and fell into the feet of unmarked Ahmed kolo Musa, the Nigerian forward who made no mistake to place the ball in middle of the net (1-1).

Leonel Preux sealed the victory for Chittagong Abahani in the injury time of the second half match with his solo effort.
Taking a pass the Haitian forward Leonel ran past two defenders and finally Muktijoddha goalie Mamun Khan and placed ball into the far post net with a nice chip (3-1).
With the day’s victory, Chittagong Abahani moved to the top of the table with 21 points from 10 matches while Muktijoddha remained at their previous credit of 15 points also playing the same number of outings.
