For last one year it is seen that singers of present generation are rendering songs of yesteryears songs of Kolkata’s popular singers. Nishita Barua is one of them.
Three songs in voice of Nishita became popular at present. These are: Lata Mangeshkar’s song titled Aj Mon Cheyechhe Ami Hariye Jabo, Aarti Mukherjee’s song Tokhon Tomar Ekush Bochhor Bodhhoi and Srabonti Mazumder’s song Aha Kopale Agun Jwoley Na. As part of its continuation, Chitra Singh’s popular song Kotha Chhilo Dekha Hobey in voice of Nishita was released on YouTube channel recently.
Nishita is getting positive response from the music-lovers now.
While sharing her feelings in this regard she said, “Many thanks to Partha Baruada for the song because he kept full confidence on me. I liked the song from my childhood. I have dedicated the song to band Souls’ Maruf Hasan Real because if I did not learn the song from him I had to learn it from the beginning stage. I strongly believe we will overcome the present situation.”
It is noted that Shyamol Dasgupta wrote lyrics of the song Kotha Chhilo Dekha Hobey and Satinath Mukherjee composed its music.
