Popular Bangladeshi pop-fusion band, Chirkutt is all set for performing in Bangla Utshab 2019 at Nazrul Moncha of Kolkata.
The three-day long festival will kick off on January 4, with the theme titled Dui Bangla: Seemana Bhuley, Ek Sur-ey. Chitkutt will perform on the night of January 5.
Lead vocal Sharmin Sultana Sumi confirmed the matter recently.
Of other Bangladeshi artistes, Rezwana Chowdhury Bonnya and Bappa Mazumder are also scheduled to join the festival.
Kolkata’s popular band Chandrabindoo, singers Anupam Roy and Lopamudra Mitra are among the domestic artistes.
Bengal Foundation (Bangladesh), Nothing Beyond Cinema and Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Kolkata) are sponsoring the festival.
For Chirkutt, it will be the first time to sing in Kolkata with memories of several shows in various Indian states.
