Chinese Taipei registered the 3rd consecutive victory in the Group C match of the six-nation AFC U-16 Women’s Championship-2017 Qualifiers crushing Singapore by 9-0 goals at Bangabandhu National Stadium Wednesday morning.
With the day’s emphatic victory, Chinese Taipei took solo lead in the group securing full nine points from straight three matches with huge goal margin scoring 21 goals against one. Hosts Bangladesh followed them neck and neck collecting six points from straight two matches scoring eight goals without conceding any.
Singapore already out of the race with one point from three matches after playing 2-2 draw with United Arab Emirates (UAE).
In the day’s match, Taipei captain-cum-midfielder Yu-Hsuan Su made a hat-trick scoring three goals in the 3rd, 83rd and 88th minutes while midfielder Ching-Yun Nien struck twice in the 33rd and 74th minutes.
Another medio Ya-Zih Jheng also scored two goals in the 11th and 91st minutes, Dai-Ling Wu and Yu-Jou Wu netted one goal each in the 13th and 51st minutes respectively for Chinese Taipei, which dominated the first half by 4-0 goals.
Two top teams in the six-nation fray–Chinese Taipei and hosts Bangladesh-will meet each other in the title-deciding match of Group C on on Saturday (Sept 3) at 6 pm at the same venue.
