Professor Dr Xiaochun Qiao of the Institute of Population Research, Peking University, China called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique on Monday at his office.
Dr Mohammad Mainul Islam of the Department of Population Sciences, DU was present on the occasion.
During the meeting they discussed various bilateral issues. They underscored the need for enhancing south-south cooperation and collaboration.
Prof Arefin thanked Professor Qiao for his visit to Dhaka University and
keen interest in strengthening mutual academic and research activities between the two universities.
