Chinese Envoy to Bangladesh Zhang Zuo
called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman at latter’s residence on Tuesday.
DU Pro-VC (Academic) Prof. Dr. Nasreen Ahmad, Pro-VC (Administration) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Samad, Treasurer Prof. Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin, DU Teachers’ Association (DUTA) president Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal, DUTA General Secretary Prof. Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam, Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Sadeka Halim, Dean of Faculty of Arts Prof. Dr. Abu Md. Delwar Hossain, Dean of Faculty of Law Prof. Dr. Md. Rahmat Ullah, Proctor of the University Prof. Dr. A.K.M. Golam Robbani and Director of DU Institute of Confucius Prof. Dr. Zhou Mingdong were present on the occasion, said a press release on Wednesday.
During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interest. They also exchanged views over ongoing joint collaborative academic and research progrmmes among DU and various Chinese universities. DU VC Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman apprised the Chinese envoy of the history, academic and research programmes of Dhaka University. DU VC and Chinese envoy presented crest and some gifts to each other at the function.
