Chinese Company M/s. Yifa Jute and Sisal Products Co Ltd will invest US$ 2 million to establish a jute and sisal products manufacturing industry in Chattogram Export Processing Zone.
This fully foreign owned company will produce annually 1000 tons Rope and 1500 tons Twine from Jute and Sisal.
Besides, jute and sisal cloth, Manila and cotton rope and cotton twine will also produce here. M/s Yifa Jute and Sisal Products Co Limited will create employment opportunity for 101 Bangladeshi nationals.
An agreement to this effect signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and M/s. Yifa Jute & Sisal Products Co. Ltd. at BEPZA Complex in Dhaka on Monday.
Zillur Rahman ndc, Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA and Mo Jisheng, Chairman of M/s. Yifa Jute & Sisal Products Co. Ltd signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
Major General S M Salahuddin Islam, BP, SPP, ndc, psc, Executive Chairman, Mohammad Faruque Alam, Member (Engineering), Mizanur Rahman, Member (Finance), Nazma Binte Alamgir, General Manager (Public Relations) and Md. Tanvir Hossain, General Manager (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA were present t the signing ceremony.
