A 21 member Business Delegation headed by Fan Junjie, Director, Information Affairs Office of Yunnan Province, PR of China visited Bangladesh Indenting Agents’ Association (BIAA) recently.
The delegation exchanged views for bilateral cooperation in business & infrastructural development between the two countries.
M S Siddiqui, President BIAA welcomed the delegation and said that Bangladesh has got strong business relationship with P.R. of China science long. We have MOU with China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Yunnan, MOU with CCPIT, Beijing.
A mediation center at BIAA will be commissioned soon in association with the Legal Affairs Department of CCPIT, Beijing.
He pointed out that we organized an International Seminar on “Relocation of Chinese Labor Intensive and High Tech Industries to Bangladesh” on June 11, 2015, 2.30 P.M. at Wyndham Grand Plaza Royale Colorful for relocation of Chinese hi-tech and labor intensive industries to Bangladesh.
He emphasized especially on BCIM (Bangladesh-China-India-Myanmar) connectivity, which may open up a new era in the sub-regional economic development. He also raised the visa problem with the Embassy of China in Bangladesh and he requested the team leader to take the issue with the China Embassy to simplify the visa formalities.
The leader of the delegation Fan Junjie thanked BIAA for their cordial hospitality and assured all possible cooperation on his side to strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Sr Vice-President of BIAA Dr Jaglul A Mozumder, Directors Adv Rafiqul Islam Masum, Md Sofiuddin Joarder, Mehdi Ali, Md Amirul Islam, Md Bonday Ali Miah, Mohammed Arfan, Kazi Abdus Salam, AKM Azad, Past-Present Md Bashirullah and BIAA Secretary Pankaj Chandra Das were present.
