Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Ma Mingqiang called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique on Wednesday at the latter’s office of the university. Head of Political Section of Chinese Embassy in Dhaka Hu Hailiang, Cultural Counselor Chen Shuang, Second Secretary Huang Lei of the same Embassy and Associate Prof of Modern Languages Institute of DU Md Afzal Hossain were present on the occasion.
During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interest. They exchanged views regarding how to strengthen the existing friendly ties between Bangladesh and China. They also discussed possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs by the University of Dhaka and various universities in China.
The Vice-Chancellor thanked the guests for their visit to Dhaka University and keen interest in its academic and research activities.
