Bangladesh will receive a total of Tk 3,069.75 crore from China for implementation of two projects in ICT and telecommunication sectors.
Kazi Shofiqul Azam, Secretary of Economic Relations Division (ERD), and Ma Mingqiang, Chinese ambassador in Bangladesh, signed two “Framework Agreements” in this regard at the ERD office on Sunday, said a press release.
According to the agreement, China will provide Tk 1252.48 crore to implement “Development of ICT Infra-Network for Bangladesh Government Phase-III (Info-Sarker 3)” under Information and Communication Technology Division and Tk 1817.27 crore to implement the “Modernization of Telecommunication Network for Digital Connectivity (MOTN)” under the Posts and Telecommunication Division.
These projects will fulfill the objectives of the Vision 2021 and also assist to build a Digital Bangladesh.
