The Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury said the third China-South Asia Exposition and 23rd Kunming Import and Export Fair will strengthen trade relations between China and the South Asian countries, said a press release Sunday.
She expressed her feelings while attending the three- day long Expo at the capital of Yunnan province of China, on 12-14 June to provide a platform to China and South Asian countries for expanding economic and commercial ties.
She returned home today after a four day visit to China.
Terming China as a great friend and trade partner of Bangladesh, she mentioned that Bangladesh is poised to make all endeavours to further cement its ties with China in every possible sphere.
The Speaker also called on the Vice President of China Li Yuanchao during the visit and expressed satisfaction over the existing friendly ties between the two countries.
